Shipping in public

Publish the thing, attach the link, and let the review start.

A project nobody can run is a thought, not a product. Shipping in public is the last and most important step of this course.

The portfolio checklist

  • A repository with a README.md that explains what and why.
  • A live URL a reviewer can click without signing in.
  • A short project description on Bigiverse Learn in your own words.
  • The Bigiverse APIs you used listed on the project.
  • Submitted for review.

How reviews work here

  1. You submit your project from the project page.
  2. A staff reviewer marks it IN_REVIEW, asks for changes if needed, or approves it.
  3. Approved projects may be flagged Recommended for the Bigiverse team — that flag is the whole point of building in public.

Handling "changes requested"

It is a feature, not a setback:

  • Read the reviewer notes on the project page.
  • Make the smallest change that addresses the point.
  • Update the project and submit again (RESUBMITTED).

The rule

One finished, showcased project is worth more to your career than ten started ones.

Take your best project, polish it until the reviewer approves it, and let it sit on the showcase. That is your resume speaking for you.
